Full Circle Youth Empowerment seeks to holistically empower, support, motivate, and encourage adolescents to become self-sufficient and successfully transition into adulthood. Our goal is to provide programs, services, trainings, workshops, peer groups, and recreational activities to help foster care youth and community youth enhance and strengthen their skill development and well-being in effort to achieve optimal success personally, socially, emotionally, and academically.
Connecticut is ranked fourth in the nation for children in foster care out-of-home placements. As a result, a high percentage of these youth experience low educational and career attainment, early parent-hood, substance abuse, physical and mental illness, and incarceration. We offer a direct response to this issue by empowering youth to become self-sufficient despite their challenges.
We use a strengths-based philosophy in all of our programs. This approach helps youth and families explore and use internal strengths and external resources. It also contributes to an improved sense of well-being and quality of life, and higher levels of relational and social functioning.
Full Circle Youth Empowerment is committed to providing a holistic diversity of trainings, services, programs, and supports such as life-skills, job readiness, educational, support groups, along with recreation which will help youth build necessary skills and have the resources needed for a successful transition into independence.
